Ashanti Shequoiya Doug, often referred to as Ashanti, was born on October 13 of 1980, in Glen Cove New York United States. She is a singer from the United States. and songwriter. Ashanti gained fame as a teenager. In 2002, she signed with Murder Inc. Records. That that same year, she was in the Fat Joe's What's Luv? Also, she was featured on the Fat Joe's hit song"What's Luv!" as well as the Ja Rules' track Never on Time and Ja Rules track Always On Time, both of which have been hugely successful. She became the first female artist to have the highest two positions on the Billboard Hot 100 list in the United States with Foolish at the top spot and What's Luv? What's Luv?
